The Prodigy brought Bestival festival to a close last night (12.09.10) with a greatest hits set, which ended with a bonfire and fireworks display.
The dance group - made up of Keith Flint, Liam Howlett and Maxim - weren't the only group to wow the 50,000 partygoers, who had spent the weekend watching the likes of Roxy Music, The xx, The Flaming Lips and Dizzee Rascal.
'Bonkers' hitmaker Dizzee brought Friday night (10.09.10) to an energetic close, as thousands of fans took to the main stage to see him perform a number of his best-loved tracks.
Despite being flashed at by one excited fan, the rapper ended a day filled with an eclectic mix of performances by stars including Hot Chip, I Blame Coco, Example and La Roux, and saw fans crowd-surfing to Barclaycard Mercury Prize winner The xx.
However, Wayne Coyne - the frontman of The Flaming Lips - shocked fans furthermore by starting their Saturday (11.09.10) headline set in a giant inflatable orb.
He then walked across the stage and into the hands of the crowd - who followed the Bestival tradition of wearing fancy dress for the day's costume parade.
Talking to the partygoers, he said: "I've never seen so many freaks in one place. So many people in green make-up, with horns and animal tails. Thanks for making us feel at home."
Bestival was launched in 2004 by DJ Rob da Bank and takes place in Robin Hill Park on the Isle of Wight.
Other acts performing over the weekend included Chase and Status, Ellie Goulding, LCD Soundsystem, Tinie Tempah and Mumford and Sons.
