Ferrell Gets Chef Shock From Mendes

EVA MENDES and director ADAM MCKAY found it hard to stomach working with WILL FERRELL on THE OTHER GUYS - his cooking was awful.
The movie funnyman is convinced he's a good chef and insisted on rustling up a Thai meal for his fellow cast and crewmembers every day on the set of the new movie.
He was delighted his colleagues seemed to love his food and devoured every lunch - but now he's been left licking his wounds after they confessed he's useless in the kitchen.
In an interview with Total Film magazine, Ferrell says, "I'm a bit of a gourmet chef. I love cooking - mostly Thai food. And a lot of times on movies you have these trailers that have ovens that are never used. I would cook lunch for us almost every day... Mostly I do a chilli potpie."
MCKay adds, "Will's very funny with it, he takes a lot of time and effort, he really gets into it, he brings you over to his trailer and then it's just awful. He uses a lot of Crisco (fat), which does not work at all."
Ferrell replies, "Is that really how you felt? Cos you always ate it, you always cleared your plate," prompting MCKay to respond: "We were shooting a movie, you're feeding us, I don't want to upset you. It all tastes the same; a mushy bowl of noodles and Crisco."
And Mendes confirmed Ferrell's a terrible cook, telling him: "I liked it... Just kidding, it was awful."
